My primary interest is antenna theory and practical design (the art of building antennas out of available materials and space.)
2009: Achieved 5BDXCC-CW using 100W to balanced-fed dipoles and verticals.
2012: N8KU is presently dismantled, and off the air for the most part, in preparation for a move. I hope to be back on the air, with a scaled-down station, in 2013. For the most part, I am backing away from DXing, and concentrating on backfilling my states (only a few to go on 3 bands.)
I still plan to participate in the two “biggie” stateside contests: Field Day and Sweepstakes. Finally, I will be expanding my digital efforts, hopefully with a Flex… as I believe this is pretty much the last frontier of amateur radio. See you on the waterfall!
